Oh My God, ohmigod you guys!

So, I like pink. Should be obvious unless, of course, you’re completely headless. To quote the Fliptop Head (see Mr. Cranky’s review [one of THE best reviews I've ever seen on the intarwebz] of My Best Friend’s Wedding to really understand my loathing of her) in Steel Magnolias, “Pink is my signature color. ” That’s also part of why I adore the Legally Blonde movies, and the subsequent musical of the same name. Legally Blonde was all kinds of fun and as a result of the YAYness of it all, it was nominated for seven Tony awards. I just checked the website from Sunday’s Tony presentation. Not one win. How the fuck can you nominate a musical for seven Tonys and then not give it at least one? This irritates the glitter right out of me. Though, Klae said it best: Bullshit + Politics + Entertainment = Fucking Retard. Amen, brother. A-freakin’-men.

On a positive note, the OCR of it (why yes…. yes, that was, in fact, a GREAT BIG HINT) comes out next month! EEEEE!!! CAN’T WAIT CAN’T WAIT CAN’T WAIT CAN’T WAIT CAN’T WAIT!

And yet another one has begun…

(So pissed off. Just had to re-start the whole goddamned motherfucking post because WordPress is fucked up, for some reason. Heaven for-fucking-bid I try an link anything. Cocksucking piece of shit WYSIWYG editor. Also, can’t add categories, for some reason. Grr.)

As you can see by the progress meters on the left, I’ve started a new project, this one a baby blanket (in mint green because, you know, green is the best, even if it is in acrylic. It’s baby yarn, it’s very soft. Yes, I’m holding down my revulsion, too) for a friend having her third child. I feel somewhat guilty for not doing anything for her first two, nor for the woman who taught me to knit, but I’m sure that in the coming years, I’ll have plenty of opportunity to assuage (oooooh, uncommon word!) that guilt. I’m crazy giddy happy, though, that both women named (or in Di’s case, going to name) their daughters Charlotte. That means that Auntie Jeremy gets to call TWO little girls ‘Charlie’! HEE!

So, in the next few weeks, I’ll try to add the rest of the progress meters for the projects I’ve got on needles. Currently, off the top of my head, I’ve got a poncho, another pair of socks and two sweaters (jumpers, for those of you who don’t speak real English, and yes, Sara, I’m talking about your husband). I’m also going to try to get some pix of the works-in-progress so that the soul-sister (every time I call her that, Lady Marmalade ends up in my head) will get off my back about it. She’s little, but damn.

I’m hoping that at PSG I’ll be able to add spinning to my Repertoire o’ Crafts, since there’s a spinning workshop there that I will attend. Here’s hoping I’m not just a yarn artist, but can also call myself a fiber artist. Working with the roving is very different, but eventually, I will know how to knit a garment from the sheep up. Here’s hoping.

Cast it?

So, I’m curious; what kind of reaction would there be to me doing a bi-weekly or monthly podcast just as a catch-up kinda thing?  Would it get listened to?  Would anyone care?  Would you really want to hear my voice to hear what’s going on with me?

Here goes my everything…

Life rolls on, usually in the most unexpected ways.

I’ve not really been under any strong deadlines since high school, and really, looking back, that wasn’t anything major (well, at the time it was; the school newspaper played a HUGE part in my life back then). This week and the next two weeks, though, I have a zillion things to do and get done (and in no particular order on the non-timed events):

  • Coven Meeting on Tuesday
  • Degree elevation on Thursday
  • Design docs for a new website by June 30
  • Pack for PSG
  • Load the truck for PSG
  • Survive PSG without killing anyone and while having a fabulous time (with, I might add, no technology whatsoever, and probably no hawt menz, including my husband, who will be staying home and gloating laughing the entire time)
  • Get some knitting done, learn to spin fiber, learn to spin a fire staff, get my Warrior energy on, learn about starting an intentional community, experience my first sweatlodge, learn the ins and outs of pagan farming, and play with some sacred clay
  • Get the JaguarMoon website updated by June 30, preferrably sooner (so as to keep my fabulous HPS from freaking out on me)
  • Go buy a box of contacts

Lord and Lady, help me get through the next three weeks. If I can do that, I can do anything. And so you see, dear sister, why I don’t have more progress pix of myknitting.  I’m just the teensiest bit busy and stressed right now.

My boss is a bitch

He just turned to me and said, “You need to go post something on your blog because right now, it looks really lame.” See what I have to work with?
