Have you ever woken up feeling fine, maybe a little tickly in the back of the throat, been up and hoppy for a few hours, had a sneezing jag and all of a sudden *poof*, you’ve got a cold? Yeah. Welcome to my Sunday. Three sneezes and I have a phone-sex voice. Not that I don’t usually sound sexy, but damn, I could give Kathleen Turner sexy vocal lessons right now. Except when I squeak like Peter Brady. And I didn’t even think anything of it. twenty minutes later, when my nose wouldn’t stop running and I looked like a toddler with snot icicles, I stumbled past the Kleenex box, blew my nose, and went to dose myself with Dayquil. Except we’s po’, and it isn’t real Dayquil; it’s the CVS knock-off.

So then we went out shopping. Eating. Wandering around stores. Much fun.

Now, we’re home, and I’ve just dosed myself with the CVS knockoff of Nyquil. The CVS knock-off of Nyquil says that it’s cherry flavored. I call bullshit. Oh, it might taste like cherries if you’ve never had a goddamned cherry once in your life EVER. Otherwise, anyone who’s ever had Nyquil (or a convincing knock-off) will tell you: it tastes like Red. Or Green, if you’ve got the original recipe Nyquil. And really, those are the only two things that really taste like their colors instead of anything realistically flavored.

And now it’s kicking in. I’m going to go get in bed and fall asleep reading some absolute brain-rotting badness: Laurell K. Hamilton‘s Blood Noir. YAY ANGSTY ASSHOLE RICHARD! YAY ANGSTY OMG I’M SLEEPING WITH A VAMPIRE, TWO WERELEOPARDS AND BEING A HYPOCRITICAL BITCH ANITA WHO IS REALLY THE AUTHOR RUNNING HER OWN “POLY” SEX FANTASIES! Yeah. Absolute crap. And it’s not even good porn anymore. At least she made the premise of the Merry Gentry books all about sex for a reason. And Faery Porn is SO MUCH more fun than Preternatural (*GAG* I hate that term) Pseudo-Porn. The next book of the Merry Gentry series needs to be ready for me at the library soooooooon (I’m tenth on the list at the library; bitches need to READ FASTER)…
